My entry to this week #GDP110

I have used stampin up's graceful garden, and the new blends that are coming out on the 1st Nov, I have truly fallen in love with these pens, I sat and did 12 of these cards in total and used every single color. one color for each card.

The one in the picture today is smoky slate, and old olive.... I 1st stamped the image of the rose on some whisper white 4 x 4 as I was then going to cut the flower out using the largest of the scalloped ovals, my card base is whisper white 5 7/8 x 8 1/4 scored at 4 1/8, then I used a piece of smoky slate cut at 3 7/8 x 5 5/8 once I stamped the trellis stamp in both corner at opposite ends I trimmed it down to 1 5/8 both piece and the sponged the edges with the smoky slate ink with a dauber.
I layered the scalloped flower with dimensionals and popped it on the front of my card, the little bit of card that was left over from the 4 x 4 piece i used I stamped for you and hand cut it out and sponged this piece also.
added some clear faceted gems and some silver ribbon... before i put the flower on the front I wrapped it with our silver thread.

I had so much fun with the blends I wanted them to be the star of the show......I hope you agree x x x

  1. You´re very brave to use this dark colors, but I think, that´s exactly what I love with your card.

  2. Wow! This is such a beauty! I love how you've colored this flower and let the green pop. So creative! Thank you so much for playing along with this week's sketch challenge at the Global Design Project.
