Flying Home, it's a good day card Stampin' Up!

Flying Home, it's a good day card using Stampin' Up! products.

The card today is a sketch that I do on my Facebook page, where everyone joins in. With my copy I decided to have a play with the "Flying Home" stamp set, that is new in the 2018 occasions catalogue.

I stamped my image, then I used Stampin' blends to colour this in, with great effect and a bit of wow.
The DSP is from the Myths & Magic which is another suite available in the occasions catalogue. Which I thought went really well together.

Measurements are as follows:
Thick whisper white base 8 1/4 x 5 7/8 scored at 4 1/8
Rich Razzbleberry pieces are:
1 @ 5 x 2 1/2
1 @ 3 3/4 x 2 1/2
1 @ 2 x 2 1/2
The DSP is:
1 @ 4 3/4 x 2 1/4
1 @ 1 3/4 x 2 1/4
whisper white for the image is 2 1/4 x 3 1/2
Then I used extra for the star and it's layer.

5 Card Cancer Challenge from the wonderful Carol Terrey, Audrey mc Shaw ...

"Flower shop" card using the masking technique Stampin' Up!® #GDP123

"Flower Shop" card using the Masking technique. #GDP123

Today my card was designed for the #GDP for this week, and the theme is New Beginnings.

I thought flowers as a gift to someone especially as they are celebrating a new beginning would work perfect together.

I used watercolour card as I was also using my blends.

So before I started the masking I cut out 3 images of the flower I was using, just on grid paper, I applied removable adhesive to the back of each one, so I easily remove and replace after I had stamped each image.

After I filled the card with all the flowers I wanted I started to colour each one in with my Stampin' Blends, This took a fair while.  Because not only did I colour them in I also used my watercolour pencils to help bring out the darker area's of each image.

This was my finished card. The Flower shop stamp set is one of my favourite stamp set that Stampin' Up! sells. I think it's perfect for a new beginnings card. I added some white gel pen also to lift each image and then added wink of Stella for a shine.
