Shabby Chic Southern Serenade Thank you card Stampin' Up!

"Shabby Chic Southern Serenade Thank you " Card Stampin' Up!

Today for you I wanted to try something a little out of my comfort zone.

This turned into something I think that is just beautiful.
The Southern Serenade stamp set out of the occasions catalogue 2018, is just the sweetest set I have had to pleasure to purchase. I started out by stamping the lace image by stampin off on scratch paper first to give a lighter feel to the card.

I then stamped the flower image on to scrap whisper white and after colouring, I fussy cut it out. positioning the image at the bottom left hand of the card,  leaving the lace details on show as much as possible.

I chose a Thank you for my sentiment, finishing off with two circle punches as I didn't want anything bigger, to cover up to much.

Tutorial:
Calypso Coral card 8 1/4 x 5 7/8 scored at 4 1/8
Thick whisper white for the front 5 5/8 x 3 7/8
whisper white for the inside 3 5/8 x 5 3/8

  1. I absolutely love how this project developed. The stamping of the lacy background gave the opportunity to use lace on the top layer of the card. Even though you say you don't like fussy cutting Gaynor you do a great job at it. The added strip of lace inside the card is a great idea because you have stamped the flowers inside too. I need to get my act together and start stamping inside my cards as well as on the outside. :O)
